Bubonic plague: Here is all you need to know about ‘Black Death’ plague

Corona virus released from Wuhan province of China has caused havoc all over the world, meanwhile China has indicated a new danger. The administration has issued an alert after a suspected case of bubonic plague surfaced in a hospital in northern China on Sunday. Often the disease spread by Rodents is very frightening and contagious.

This plague is also known as the Black Death. According to the World Health Organization,”It is commonly found in small mammals and their flea. Infected flea bites are prone to plague and can turn into bubonic plague.” Bubonic plague is a common plague that is not easily transmitted from one person to another but if some of its bacteria reaches the lungs, this bubonic plague can turn into a pneumonic plague.

The mortality rate of the bubonic plague is much lower than the pneumonic plague. Pneumonic plague is a lethal infectious disease that can spread from person to person through cough or droplets. Bubonic plague is caused by the rlated flea bite. Its symptoms may appear in one to seven days. Its initial symptoms are somewhat similar to the corona virus. A person infected with plague has high fever, cold, body and head ache, weakness, vomiting or nausea, swelling and pain in lymph nodes.

Symptoms of pneumatic plague appear immediately after infection, sometimes even within 24 hours. It causes difficulty in breathing and cough when plague occurs. Blood may appear in the sputum. It is believed that the infection of this plague, known as the Black Death, has so far occurred three times, which has caused the death of millions of people. The last time it was spread over a large level in 1894.
