Bye Bye Chinese APPs, Indian Government Bans 59 Chinese Apps

Bye Bye Chinese APPs, The Indian government has taken major action against China and has banned 59 Chinese mobile apps. This includes some very famous apps like TikTok, Share It, UC Browser, Hello, Vigo etc. The IT ministry said in an official statement released on Monday that it had received several complaints from various sources, including several reports about the misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms. These reports state that these apps “steal” users’ data and send them to servers located outside India.

The statement issued by the government said, “The compilation of these data, its mining and profiling by elements hostile to national security and defence of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India, is a matter of very deep and immediate concern which requires emergency measures,

The statement said the move would “protect the interests of crores of Indian mobile and Internet users.” This decision is a step towards ensuring the security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.
