In the mountainous districts of Uttarakhand corona infection has started to take over. In an assessment done on the basis of reports being released daily, an institution said that the recovery rate of corona infected patients in the six hill districts of Uttarakhand is more than 90 percent. These districts include Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Almora.
The Social Development for Community Foundation, Dehradun, based on the study till July 9, 2020, stated that the over all recovery rate in Uttarakhand is 81%. The recovery rate has been steadily increasing in the state. Foundation’s official Anoop Nautiyal tweeted that the recovery rate has gone up from 49% to 81% within 30 days, which means an increase of 32%. This figure of recovery rate is from 9 June to 9 July 2020.
According to the report of the Foundation, the hill districts have higher recovery rates than the plains districts. Uttarakhand Rudraprayag, Tehri and Chamoli districts have the highest recovery rate. At the same time, the recovery rate is lowest in Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Uttarkashi districts.
In another tweet, Nautiyal said that the infection rate in Uttarakhand has come down in the last 30 days. The rate of infection on July 30 was 4.74 percent compared to 4.22 percent on July 9, 4.85 percent on June 20 and 4.47 percent on June 10. Tehri Garhwal, Nainital, Almora and Bageshwar districts have had the highest infection rates in the last one month.
