Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal reversed CM Kejriwal’s decision, said- anyone can get treatment in Delhi

Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has overturned the AAP government’s decision in which Delhi government-run hospitals and private hospitals were reserved for the townspeople. The Lt. Governor is also the chairman of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority. This move may increase the confrontation between the AAP government and the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday announced that only Delhiites will be treated during the Corona virus crisis in hospitals and private hospitals run by the Delhi government. Kejriwal had said that ‘more than 90 percent of people want only the people of the national capital to be treated in hospitals in Delhi during the corona virus epidemic. Therefore, it has been decided that government and private hospitals based in Delhi will treat the people of the national capital only. Along with this, he said that if people from other cities come to Delhi for specific operations, they will be treated in private hospitals. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Monday that Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) would meet on Tuesday to review whether Covid-19 is spreading at the community level in the national capital.
