what gerenuks are? Watch this cute video on Twitter featuring two of these animals as it has gone viral on social media. Parveen Kaswan of the Indian Forest Service shared the 46-second video on Wednesday and in no time it has reached over 13,000 views.
The two gerenuks were filmed playing around in a forest while on a “date”. The male gerenuk made an attempt to impress his partner, Kaswan said in the caption of his post.
“These cute animals are gerenuks. And they are on a date, male trying best to impress partner,” Parveen Kaswan said in the caption of his post.
Twitter users enjoyed the video and thanked Kaswan for sharing it. “Never even heard of this animal. Thanks for sharing,” a comment read. Another user wrote, “Unbelievable”.
Gerenuk, are also known as the giraffe gazelle, has similar characteristics like long neck and legs, and a flat head of sorts. Found in the Horn of Africa and East Africa, gerenuks are also described as long-necked antelopes, they basically dependent on plants.
