Hindu care taker of a Shiv Temple beaten to death by Anas Qureshi for wearing Tilak and Saffron stole

Kanti Prasad, the vice-president of the Shiv Mandir Committee, was beaten to death in Abdullapur, Bhawanpur, Meerut. This shameful incident took place when Kanti Prasad was returning from Gangapur after paying an electricity bill. On the way, a Muslim guy named Anas Qureshi made a communal comment on Kanti Prasad’s saffron attire. Kanti Prasad protested and Anas beaten him to death.

There is an atmosphere of fear in the area since this murder.After the murder, political forms are also coming to the fore. Bharatiya Janata Party MP and MLA from Cantt assembly constituency suspected Nadeem Mewati’s hand in this incident. Nadeem Mewati is a notorious history-sheeter of Meerut. BJP leaders have alleged that Nadeem is “Vikas Dubey” of Meerut. He enjoys the protection of police officers. Local people of Abdullapur have also told that Nadeem has been seen many times roaming around in a police car.

The leaders of the ruling party say that Anas has executed the incident only at the behest of Nadeem. The case did not take a communal form, the police immediately caught the accused Anas. He was sent to jail for religious remarks and murder. Anas’s family then arrived at Kanti Prasad’s house and threatened to kill them to withdraw the case.

The Cantt MLA has assured financial assistance to the victim’s family. He said that Nadeem Mewati will also be captured and send to jail. SSP of Meerut Ajay Sahni says, ‘The Bhawanpur police has been ordered to take strict action in the Kanti Prasad murder case. Action is being taken by investigating the role of Nadeem Mewati. Also, a second case against those threatening the family is being filed. There is no tension in the village. Even after that, police have been deployed as a precaution.’
