Emphasizing that the road constructed by India up to the Lipulek Pass is entirely in Indian territory, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that his government believes in resolving “misunderstandings” with Nepal through dialogue.

“We have not only historical and cultural connections but also spiritual connections and India can never forget it, How can relations between India and Nepal be broken?”,He said.

Nepal’s parliament on Saturday voted unanimously to amend the constitution to update the country’s new political map. He is claiming three strategically important areas along the border.

He said that the difference in the promises of the leaders and their work had created a “credibility crisis” but the Modi government has overcome this by following what was said in the party’s manifesto.
