Owaisi questions UP government’s ‘Thok Denge’ policy, advises to arrest Vikas Dubey

All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi attacked Yogi government’s policy regarding Kanpur incident. On Friday, 8 police personnel were martyred in an encounter in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, after which the Yogi government was constantly on target of opponents. In this sequence, after SP, BSP and Congress, now AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also attacked the Yogi government.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the Uttar Pradesh government over the Kanpur encounter and alleged that eight policemen were killed in the incident due to the state government’s ‘thok denge’ policy. According to him, “Whatever happened in Kanpur, the entire responsibility lies on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. As he started killing in the name of ‘Thok Dege’ policy, it means that people are being killed in the name of encounter. Now the time has come for CM Yogi to change his ‘thok denge’ policy .

We cannot run a country or a state on the basis of ‘gun’. A country or a state can only be run on the basis of Law and the Constitution.” He further said, “Yogi Adityanath should ensure that the culprit Vikas Dubey is arrested and not murdered in the name of encounter. A special force should be formed and the Yogi government should ensure that this criminal is convicted of killing these brave police officers and given the harshest punishment.”
Significantly, the history sheeter Vikas Dubey is still out of the reach of the police and he is accused in 60 other cases.
