Petition filed in the High Court for the arrest of Virat Kohli and Tamannaah Bhatia
Virat Kohli and Tamannaah Bhatia advertise an online gambling app. Because of this, a Madras lawyer has filed a petition against both in the Madras High Court. The lawyer has said in the High Court that Virat Kohli and Tamannaah Bhatia should be arrested for promoting gambling. A lawyer named Suryaprakasham has said in his petition that the youth are increasingly attracted towards betting and gambling.
According to the lawyer, gambling addiction is harmful for a right society and it also violates Article 21 of the Constitution. Article 21 mentions the rights to live life. Some time ago a young man from Chennai borrowed money for online gambling. He could not repay the loan when he lost the money and committed suicide. Giving an example of this, the lawyer said in the High Court that the rest of the intoxication affects a person after many years, but gambling is an intoxicating effect. Therefore, its propagation should be stopped.
It is worth noting that during the IPL and other cricket tournaments, many apps are promoted by popular players like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly etc. Through which you can invest money online. The Chennai High Court will hear this petition of Surya Prakash Shram on August 4. The petition talks about punishing all the websites and sports and film stars promoting online gambling, so it is possible that many well-known stars may be affected by the court’s decision, apart from the online gambling apps that have reached home is in danger.
