Prime Minister Narendra Modi abruptly visits Leh, boosts morale of jawans:
Amidst of an atmosphere of tension at the LAC, today on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi surprised everyone and reached Leh for a visit accompanied by CDS Bipin Rawat. Army soldiers greeted Prime Minister with slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram.
PM Modi reached Leh at around 9.30 am currently at an advance in Nimu and spoke to Army, Air Force and ITBP personnel. The Prime Minister reviewed the matter with senior military officials and also met the injured Indian soldiers, hospitalized in Military Hospital. The visit has spread an important message to the world.
The Prime Minister’s visit is very encouraging for the Indian soldiers and they are committed to safeguarding the country. Significantly, on June 15, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a violent clash with Chinese soldiers on LAC. According to the same American intelligence agency, 35 Chinese Army (PLA) personnel have been killed in the Galvan skirmish. At the same time, the Congress party started questioning this visit. Congress leaders accuse Prime Minister of not naming China.
