Rehana Fatima surrenders after getting own children to paint her half-naked body: SC rejects anticipatory bail plea

Activist Rehana Fatima surrendered at Ernakulam South Police Station on Saturday (August 8, 2020) who got famous through controversy over trying to sneak into the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala, Kerala and instigating the sentiments of devotees through her social media posts.

Ernakulam South Police gave this information. also earlier on Friday (August 7, 2020), the Supreme Court refused to grant anticipatory bail to Rehana Fatima. The case relates to the release of a video of his children painting a semi-naked body of Fatima.

During the hearing, the Supreme Court had said that prima facie it was a case of obscenity. What will be the impact of the country’s culture on minor children. The court asked if she would do any irrational act while being a social worker. How will this affect children?

A top court bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra had said, “Why do you do all this?” You may be an activist but what kind of nonsense is this? Are you spreading pornography? This will leave a very bad impact in the society. “

Rehana Fatima shared the YouTube video on Facebook on June 19, 2020. In this, his son and daughter can be seen painting on her semi-nude body. Along with this video she posted the hashtag #BodyArtPolitics.

According to Rehana, she made this video so that women can be more open about sex and their bodies, even in a society where both these things are banned.

However, after a complaint by a BJP leader, Fatima was booked by the Ernakulam police under Sections 13, 14, 15, Section 67 (B) of IT Act and Section 75 of the Poxo Act.

After this, the state telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) issued a notice asking the disputed worker and dismissed employee Rehana Fatima to vacate the government house. The state-run telecom company said that the police action has shocked its image.

Significantly, Rehana Fatima, who hails from Pathanamthitta district in Kerala, tried to enter the temple of Lord Ayyappa in Sabarimala two years ago. However, her move was heavily criticized. She had to spend 18 days in jail for hurting the feelings of Ayyappa devotees through his Facebook post.

Rehana also put a cooking video on YouTube. In the video, Rehana was seen telling the recipe of Beef. But, 20 seconds after the start of the video, She was heard speaking Gau Mata instead of Beef.
