There may be 5.5 lakh cases of corona in Delhi by the end of July: Manish Sisodia

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has feared that there may be 5.5 lakh cases of corona virus in the capital by 31st July. Along with this, he said, the Lt. Governor has refused to consider his decision to cancel the Delhi government’s decision to reserve Delhi’s government and private hospitals for the people of Delhi.

Manish Sisodia said on the corona virus epidemic crisis, Delhi will need 80,000 beds by the end of July. Center officials say that there is no community spread of Covid-19 in Delhi.

Manish Sisodia said, ‘By June 15th, 44 thousand cases are expected in Delhi. For which 6600 beds will be required. With this, by June 30, corona cases can reach one lakh and for this, 15 thousand beds will be required and by July 15, there may be two lakh 25 thousand cases for which 33 thousand beds will be required. By July 31, Delhi may have five and a half lakh corona cases for which 80 thousand beds will be required.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that, out of the new cases of corona virus infection in the city, 50 percent of those are not aware of the source of infection.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday. He was being tested after complaining of throat pain and fever, an official said. He said that the fever of the 51-year-old chief minister has reduced. The test report is expected by tonight or Wednesday morning.
