Yogi’s request to Prime Minister: Composite policy for movement in Delhi and adjoining districts
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to formulate a comprehensive policy for movement in Delhi and adjoining districts. According to a state government spokesperson, Yogi on Wednesday, during a video conference with the Prime Minister & Chief ministers of various states, urged that a comprehensive policy should be formulated for Delhi and adjoining districts.
He said that there is a continuous movement in these areas. In view of this, there should be a system of screening of suspected and symptomatic infected persons of Covid-19, so that effective control can be imposed on the infection. The Chief Minister also requested to allow symptomatic Covid-19 infected people to be hospitalized in Covid hospitals instead of home isolation.
He said that it would not be possible to follow the necessary discipline if the symptomatic cases infected with Covid-19 are kept in separate houses. This increases the risk of infection to the relatives of the infected, as well as the possibility of spreading the infection through other persons in contact with the family.
The Chief Minister said that symptomatic Covid-19 infected patients should be allowed to be kept in Covid hospitals to break the chain of infection and control its spread. According to the spokesperson, Yogi thanked for the guidance provided by the Central Government and said that the cooperation of the Center has helped in strengthening the basic infrastructure of medicine in the state. At present, 503 Covid Hospitals of Level-1, Level-2, Level-3 are operational in the state. A total of 1,01,236 beds are available in these hospitals.
He said that till now more than five lakh samples have been tested for the infection of Covid-19 in the state. Currently about 16,000 tests are being done every day related to infection of Covid-19. It is targeted to be increased to 20,000 by 20 June.
